This week saw a the discovery of an enormous fly-tip, after a mile-long "sea of rubbish and toxic waste" was found near Heathrow Airport .

Whether it is a neighbour leaving unwanted kitchen goods out in the street, to huge piles of debris dumped, flytipping on every scale angers residents.

Getwestlondon often hears about problems with rubbish thrown where it shouldn't be, so we've rounded up some of the very worst cases of disgusting dumping - urgh!

Fly tipping in Ealing was revealed to have risen by an astonishing 216% year on year.

Residents were even resorting to litter picking themselves, saying that fly tipping had left the borough the "filthiest it's been in 35 years" .

It happened less than a fortnight after a flytipper was caught on film dumping rubbish in Fulham before brazenly taking a photograph of the mess and leaving.

And it's no surprise with sights like this showing mattresses and white goods strewn in public.

A total of 59 fixed penalty notices and more than £11,000 in fly-tipping fines were recorded in Brent borough.

The video, initially shared on #Fixit Harrow Network Facebook group, shows at least 10 rats rummaging in bin bags in Harrow, jumping into the bags from a wall - yuck.
