Older people can pick up a new hobby by joining an activities programme for over 60s launched by Hounslow council.
In a bid to keep the elder generation moving, there is everything from yoga and swimming classes to arts and crafts sessions including watercolouring and decorating as well as holistic treatments such as aromatherapy.
There is also the chance to pick up new skills from flower arranging and computer skills as well as English lessons for people who want to learn as a second language.
For a happier and healthier borough, the programme which runs between now and March, has been designed to keep people fit and creative.
The sessions are also open to residents in sheltered housing accommodation and those in the wider community, and will be a chance to meet new people and make new friends.
Councillor Kamaljit Kaur, cabinet member for adult social care and health services at Hounslow Council said: “Our aim is to help our older residents be healthy and happy. And of course, have fun!
“By getting involved in the programme and trying different activities, not only can people learn a new skill or enjoy a new hobby, but for those who may not have many links with their neighbours or other people and would otherwise be isolated, this is a chance to be an integral part of the local community.”
