Firefighters were called out to a restaurant fire in Waterloo on Wednesday (August 2).

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters attended the blaze on The Cut, located below below some flats, at 2.58pm.

Part of the ducting from the ground floor to the roof was damaged by the blaze.

The crews from Shoreditch, Clapham, Lambeth and Soho fire stations had the fire under control at 4.02pm.

Three people had left the property before the arrival of firefighters.

A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: "The cause of the fire in under investigation."
