A trapped man was cut free from his vehicle on the North Circular after a collision between a car and a lorry on Thursday (September 29) morning.

Firefighters used cutting equipment to pull the man free from the vehicle following the accident in Stonebridge, Brent .

He was treated at the scene by paramedics.

The brigade was called at 10.20am and left the scene shortly after 11.40am. Firefighters from Willesden, Park Royal and Paddington fire stations were at the scene.

On Friday (September 30) a lorry burst into flames on the A40 at Gypsy Corner in Acton , causing major tailbacks on the road.

Dramatic CCTV images showed the vehicle ablaze, with A40 Western Avenue was closed in both directions between Horn Lane and Wales Farm Road due to the fire.
