Four fire engines and 21 firefighters were called to tackle a blaze at a house in Harrow that broke out on Bonfire Night (Saturday November 5)

London Fire Brigade (LFB) is investigating the fire which set alight at around 6.24pm and took more than two hours to bring under control.

The brigade were called to Avondale Road and crews from Stanmore , Harrow and Northolt extinguished the blaze by 8.30pm.

In an unrelated incident LFB were call to a house in Perivale twice in a week to fires caused by fireworks.

A stray firework is believed to have hit the house on Thursday (November 3) and fire crews found a small fire in the damaged roof space.

Just five days before , on October 29, a firework is suspected to have landed on two gazebos in the back garden before spreading to the house.
