Firefighters have been called to a fire at a restaurant and flats in the heart of central London.

London Fire Brigade (LFB) said they were called to Dean Street in Soho shortly before 11am and sent four fire engines along with 20 fire fighters.

The incident is ongoing and around 10% of the roof of the first floor flat is currently alight, LFB added.

Dean Street is currently blocked and congestion is affecting the area.

It is not known what the cause of the fire is at this stage, or if anyone has evacuated from the restaurant and flats.

The incident is near to Chinatown, Soho Theatre and the Prince Edward Theatre.
