A film producer from Feltham has been convicted of having a sexual relationship with two schoolgirls.

Jacky Jhaj of Orchard Avenue, who drove around in his brother's Range Rover picking up schoolgirls half his age, was found guilty of four counts of sexual activity with a child aged 15, at Isleworth Crown Court on September 6.

Following a two-week trial the 31-year-old was due to be sentenced last Friday (October 14) but this has now been adjourned to November 25 for further reports at the defence's request.

An investigation was led by Hounslow police CID and Crime Squad teams.

The incidents date back to July 2015 when Jhaj, aged 29 at the time, told his victims he was 21 years old.

He offered the girls lifts in his car, bought them alcohol and took them to parties of other school children.

In court Jhaj stated he befriended school pupils as part of research for a screen play he was commissioned to write, adding he was also an executive producer who had worked on a Hollywood blockbuster.

Trainee Detective Constable Nav Johal, from Hounslow CID, said: “Thanks to the courage and bravery of the young vulnerable victims who gave evidence this ensured that this dangerous sexual predator was brought to justice.

“I am hopeful that the verdict will give them some peace and closure, and they will be able to, in time, move forward from this difficult period.

"Joint-partnership work is crucial to continue to tackle offences related to grooming and this case highlights the importance of working in partnership to ensure such offenders are apprehended.

"Continued education of children at school and at home on such matters is important and can in turn hopefully highlight any concerns to the police and other relevant authorities.”

At an earlier trial Jhaj was also found guilty of handling stolen goods.
