A female cyclist has been taken to hospital following a crash near Chelsea Bridge.

Emergency services were called to the A3212 Grosvenor Road, near the junction with Chelsea Bridge Road, on Wednesday (September 21) at 3.25pm.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Service said officers were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a cyclist.

He said the female cyclist was taken to hospital but her condition was not known at this stage.

Police said the driver of the car had stopped at the scene and nobody had been arrested in connection with the collision.

Traffic reports said one lane had been closed on Grosvenor Road and queues had formed in both directions between the junctions with Chelsea Bridge Road and Lupus Road.

Congestion was also reported on the A3216 Queenstown Road to the Prince of Wales Drive junction, on the A312 to the Vauxhall Bridge Road junction and on the A3216 to the A3217 junction at Sloane Square.
