A father-of-four has admitted stabbing his wife to death.
Bashir Ali, 42, of Bramble Close, Tottenham, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of his wife on the grounds of diminished responsibility, on Monday May 22.
Police said he had been experiencing a mental health episode at the time of the killing.
His wife and the mother of their young two sons and two daughters, 41-year-old Deeqa Ibrahim, lived with Ali in Ealing until 2015, when they began to live separately.
Deeqa had carried on living in Ealing with the pair's four children, when she was killed during a visit to Ali's home in Tottenham.
Police were called after Ali repeatedly stabbed Deeqa at around 9pm, on November 23 2016, while she was visiting him at the address in Bramble Close.
London Ambulance Service attended and police officers administered first aid, but Deeqa was pronounced dead at the scene.
A special post-mortem examination took place at Haringey Mortuary the following day and gave her cause of death as multiple stab wounds.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command investigated leading to Ali's arrest, and he was charged with murder the following day.
A plea of manslaughter by diminished responsibility was accepted on May 22, at Inner London Crown Court.
The case has been adjourned for sentencing, which will take place on Wednesday May 24 at the same court.
