Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) at 4.58am on Monday (December 14) to reports of a collision between a car and a motorcyclist in St Ann's Road at the junction with Swanscomb Road in Shepherd's Bush.

Officers attended along with LAS. The motorcyclist, a 52-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police await formal identification. Next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.

Detectives are keen to trace the driver of a Vauxhall Astra found abandoned at the scene.

As part of the investigation, detectives have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the collision. He is Darren February, 32, of North Kensington.

He is a black man with a beard. He is approximately 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build. He has a two inch scar above his left eye. No arrests have been made.
