England Rugby Union international and former captain Chris Robshaw dropped into a charity based in Fulham which provides housing support to former servicemen and women.

The Harlequins star visited Stoll and spoke to homeless people being looked after by the organisation, which works in partnership with military charity Walking With The Wounded. The flanker is raising money for the charity during his testimonial year.

Among those he spoke to was Michael Wallace, who has been supported through Home Straight, the Walking With The Wounded employment programme that aims to give unemployed veterans who are homeless and in temporary accommodation, or at risk of homelessness, support and guidance in order to move back into sustainable employment and to regain their independence.

Walking With The Wounded corporate partnerships manager, Kate McKeand, said: “Chris Robshaw epitomises traits that are found in our wounded – strength, determination, respect, loyalty and class. He is admired for his warmth and integrity off the pitch as he is for his leadership and ability on it.

"Walking With The Wounded is thrilled to have been chosen as one of Chris’ three chosen charities for his Testimonial Year.”

Stoll, based in Fulham Road, aims to give vulnerable and disabled veterans to lead fulfilling and independent lives, and is marking its centenary year , supporting the nation’s ex-service men and women since 1916.
