A female pedestrian has been taken to hospital after she was involved in a collision with a bus in Notting Hill on Friday (January 6) morning.

Police were called to the Elkstone Road shortly after 10am.

London Ambulance Service also attended, taking the injured woman to hospital. Police say they are unable to provide a condition update at present.

Kensington and Chelsea Police have said Elkstone Road is currently closed and is urging motorists to avoid the area.

Transport for London (TfL) says the No 23 bus is on diversion in both directions due to the traffic collision.

A spokesperson said:

“We were called at 9.58am today to reports of a road traffic collision at Elkstone Road, W10.

“We sent an ambulance crew to the scene, which arrived in under seven minutes.

“We treated a woman at the scene and took her as a priority to a hospital in west London.”

Incident in Shepherd's Bush

And there were real concerns for an elderly female pedestrian after she was involved in a collision with a bus in Shepherd’s Bush on December 8.

Witnesses said woman was lying in a pool of blood with some fearing the worst.

Police later said the woman’s injuries were not life threatening.
