Police have released an image of a man they are looking for in connection with a distraction theft in Hounslow.

A suspect allegedly stole from an 83-year-old man while at a bank in broad daylight, police in Hounslow said.

The victim was using a cashpoint when the suspect started to have a conversation.

The police said he distracted the victim's attention from his bank card and made further transactions from it.

The incident happened at Barclays Bank in Bath Road, Hounslow West, on New Year's Eve (December 31, 2016) at around 1.35pm.

Hounslow police are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information regarding the incident.
