A UKIP candidate from Ealing has described a number of feminists as "man hating c**ts" who had posted the hashtag "#killallwhitemen".

Alex Nieora, a UKIP Greater London Authority candidate vying for the Ealing and Hillingdon ward, was embroiled in a Twitter row in December 2015.

In the row with Twitter users, Mr Nieora, from Perivale , Ealing, used the social media site to call a certain number of feminists "man hating c**ts".

An message UKIP candidate Alex Nieora posted on Twitter

He claims that he was responding to a certain number of feminists who had posted tweets with the hashtag "killallwhitemen".

The hashtag had been pioneered by student union welfare and diversity officer at Goldsmiths, University of London, Bahar Mustafa.

She was charged for the tweet but had charges against her dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service last year.

He then proceeded to call feminism "destructive" before moving on to blaming the movement for male suicide rates.

But he told getwestlondon he regretted his language and in both of the above tweets was referring to the feminists who had ordered the death of white men.

He said: "I was responding to the hashtag #killallwhitemen started and promulgated by now ex Goldsmiths University Students' Union Bahar Mustafa and a group of feminists who were defending what she tweeted.

"I felt Ms Mustafa's hashtag to be racist, sexist and extremely offensive and the fact that some feminists on Twitter were defending her was reprehensible.

"While I regret the tone of my tweet I remain extremely concerned about the militant and aggressive nature of third wave feminists towards men.

"I would also like to apologise if I have caused any offence to feminists in general which is unintentional.

"I was responding to particular individuals who were themselves being provocative and aggressive. I fully support those who simply seek equal rights between men and women."
