To this day, Ealing Park Tavern's dinner menu remains the finest dining experience I've had as a restaurant reviewer .
I left that evening with a smile that didn't wear off until the following week, and happily gave it five stars.
So I was particularly excited when I heard it had launched a new lunchtime menu - a bottomless range of pizza, Prosecco and Pimm's served up every Saturday.
While it does not quite hit the heights of its sublime dinner menu the food here, combined with Prosecco and Pimm's, is an absolute bargain at £22.
Mr friend Joe and I begin the evening with a bottle of Prosecco in the outdoor area, a lovely spot fit with nice furniture and synthetic flooring.
The pizza menu is impressive in its range of toppings, so Joe and I opt for the slow roast lamb, chilli prawns, chilli beef and fennel sausage pizzas.
My pick of the bunch would be the chilli prawn pizza, comprising tasty chunks of fish with tomato, roast peppers and salsa verde - a real treat.
And the slow roasted lamb, coming with anchovy, olives and chilli oil, is also a fine example of well-cooked, tasty meat, while the fennel sausage and chilli beef pizzas do little to disappoint.
Joe and end the afternoon with a jug of Pimm's, capping an excellent way to spend an afternoon basking in London's sunshine.
At just £22, this deal offers stunning value for money - blending in all you can eat pizza that doesn't sacrifice quality as part of the deal.
Looking for somewhere to eat and drink outside without bursting the bank this weekend? Look no further.
