A drug dealer who confessed to his crime and led police to his illicit stash has been jailed.

Dean King, of Biscoe Close, Hounslow, was spotted on his bike by officers in his home road on October 14 last year, according to police.

The 34-year-old sped off when they tried to approach him, but he was soon caught and found to have five wraps of class A drugs plus two mobile phones on him, officers said.

He then admitted supplying drugs and told police he had more at his home, where he showed them a plastic container holding 24 wraps of heroin and 18 of crack cocaine, Met Police added.

King admitted two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and, at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday (July 6), he was sentenced to two years and four months in jail.

PC John Taylor of Hounslow Crime Squad said: "We are still unsure of the motive behind King's honesty but, regardless of this, he is now facing a considerable amount of time in jail.

"Hounslow police will not tolerate drug dealers operating within our community and I hope this conviction reassurances people that the police take this kind of activity very seriously and we will catch those involved."
