Need to dispose of old hairdryers, games consoles and an endless web of wires, bin doctors at The Rubbish Diet can help.

As part of West London Waste's electric month this February you can drop off any unwanted or broken electrical items for recycling at Hounslow libraries.

Last Saturday (February 14), bin doctor Adam Paul was at the Treaty Centre in Hounslow helping shoppers with their rubbish problems by telling them all about the recycling Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) solution.

Adam said: "If your kettle is broken or printer no longer working and you've tried to fix it with no success then West London Waste have made it really easy to do the next best thing – recycle it!"

One shopper, Micheal from Feltham, thought it was a great idea. As a collector of vintage gaming equipment he has accumulated boxes of old cables and wires in his loft, which he has finally found a way of recycling, thanks to The Rubbish Diet and West London Waste.

Drop off anything that has a plug or works with batteries to Heston library from Monday February 16 to Saturday February 21, and to Feltham library from Monday Feb 22 to Saturday Feb 28.

Goods will be collected and recycled. Remember to remove batteries and ink cartridges before dropping off such items.
