For many people, Charlotte Staerck may have just landed the perfect job.

She has started working for a Chelsea company Handbag Clinic, and is tasked with tracking down the vintage accessories for a living.

Known as the Handbag Hunter, she admits she has landed a dream job. The former model is responsible for sourcing rare, vintage and pre-loved handbags from the world’s most fabulous designers.

To date she has tracked down rare and second-hand finds from the likes of Chanel, Hermés, Mulberry, Gucci and Louis Vuitton.

She also finds longed-for handbags for clients who ask her to source the accessory they’ve been searching for.

Charlotte said: “I’ve always loved fashion since I was little. I’m in total agreement with Christian Dior who said you can never take too much care over the choice of your shoes and the same definitely goes for handbags.

“Even if the rest of your outfit is from the high street , designer accessories instantly add elegance.”

And the Handbag Hunter says she has found herself in incredibly high demand since joining Handbag Clinic, which also has branches in Islington and Newcastle.

“Our customers love it that they can pop out in their lunch break and pick up a Chanel purse or even just come in for a chat and to drool over some of our latest finds.

“I’m often able to help our clients skip waiting lists and to stop trawling the internet for a certain bag.

“They also have the guarantee that what they’re getting is 100% authentic, which is always a worry when you’re buying pre-loved accessories yourself.”
