A fire at an industrial site near Uxbridge broke out on Friday evening (August 12) and completely destroyed two double decker buses, the fire service has confirmed.

London Fire Brigade (LFB) were called to Packet Boat Lane off High Road at 9.21pm to reports a fire had broken out.

The two buses were completely destroyed in the blaze, as well as a van and a portable cabin.

A spokesperson for the LFB also said three tonnes of rubbish went up in smoke.

It is believe no one was injured and the fire service did not give a cause for the fire.

Around 30 firefighters and six fire engines tackled the blaze.

Recently fire crews also battled a blaze at a nearby caravan park in West Drayton , when part of the flat roof of a residential building caught light.
