A double-decker bus "flattened" a phone box in a collision in Acton on Wednesday (May 28).

Witnesses have described the bus ploughing into the phone box which was "flattened" in the accident.

No one was hurt in the incident.

The collision is believed to have happened at the Second Avenue bus stop, in Uxbridge Road/The Vale.

Speaking to getwestlondon, Michelle Cronin said: "The bus appears to have crashed into a telephone box in Acton.

"The bus had to be towed and the phone box was wrecked."

Ken Davidson, Transport for London’s head of bus operations, said: “At around 11.20am on Wednesday a route 207 bus, operated by Metroline, collided with a parked car and telephone box at the junction of The Vale with Cowley Road, W3.

"The emergency services attended the scene.

"There were no reported injuries as a result of the collision. There will be an investigation into this incident."

The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for more information but are yet to respond.
