Services on the District line and parts of the Overground network were hit by a signal failure on Friday (May 5) morning.
The signal failure at Richmond also affected Overground services, with no service running between Richmond and Gunnersbury.
It meant rush hour woe for commuters, and on Twitter there has been no shortage of people with the hump.
Niviene Azab said: “Utterly useless as usual another day of getting to work late courtesy of ‘signal failure’.”
Simon Stirrat wrote: “An entire tube train trying to fit onto a hopper bus is going to be great fun I’m sure...”
And Rosie added: “No district line or overground from Richmond - another fun Friday morning”
The line reopened to severe delays at around 8.30am and was running a good service within an hour.
