A member of staff was spat at and had coffee thrown at her while working behind the information desk at Victoria station.

British Transport Police (BTP) is investigating after the shocking incident that happened on the main concourse at around 2.20pm on Monday February 6.

The force has also released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

A statement from BTP said: “A member of rail staff was in an information kiosk at Victoria station, when she was approached by a man who swore at her, spat in her face and threw his coffee over her.

“Disgusted? We are too.

“We won't stand for threatening behaviour and we certainly won't stand for violence.”
