Detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was shot in Acton.

Metropolitan Police said two male suspects approached three men, on Brouncker Road, Acton, on Tuesday (March 15), shortly before 4.45pm.

A number of shots, believed to be from a black handgun, were fired towards the group of three men.

A 30-year-old man was shot in the legs; his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and he remains in a north London hospital.

A 25-year-old man was initially believed to have suffered gun shot injuries, but after receiving medical treatment this was found not to be the case. He has since been discharged from hospital.

A 24-year-old man was treated for shock, and has been discharged from hospital.

Vehicle recovered by police

Both suspects were in a dark-coloured vehicle, with tinted rear passenger windows. Detectives have recovered a vehicle at Saxon Drive, Acton, suspected to be involved in this incident.

Suspect one is described as a black male, wearing dark clothing. Suspect two is described as a black male, in his early 20s wearing dark clothing.

No arrests have been made.

Detective Inspector Glenn Butler from Trident said: "I would ask anyone who was in the area of Brouncker Road at the time of this incident, who may have seen or heard anything which may assist our investigation, to get in touch.

"We would also like to hear from anyone who may have noticed any unusual activity in the Saxon Drive area where the car was recovered. We are urgently seeking to identify these suspects and recover the firearm. All information will be treated in the strictest of confidence.

"This appears to be a deliberate and targeted attack on the three men. Our investigation is ongoing and there will be a visible police presence in the area to reassure the local community."
