The first trains of London's £15billion Crossrail scheme between Liverpool Street and Shenfield have been delayed.
The first services on the Elizabeth Line were due in May but are now expected to begin this month after TfL said they needed to carry out additional testing, reports Essex Live .
Howard Smith, TfL's operations director for the Elizabeth Line, said: "The train is undergoing thorough testing, assurance and approvals before it enters passenger service shortly.
"Good progress is being made and we anticipate testing being completed within the next few weeks.
"We continue to work closely with Bombardier, Network Rail and MTR Crossrail."
TfL were planning to phase 11 trains in to the route, currently branded TfL rail, until September.
Services between Heathrow and Paddington are set to start in May 2018, stopping at Hayes & Harlington , Southall , Hanwell , West Ealing, Ealing Broadway and Acton Main Line on the way and taking just 23 minutes.
The route from Paddington to Shenfield is due to open in May 2019, stopping at central London stations including Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road and Farringdon.
Services west of Heathrow will run all the way to Reading, stopping at West Drayton , Iver, Langley and Slough on the way.
