Five convicted after violent knife fight in broad daylight

A group of men were convicted after a violent street brawl involving knives and bats in West Drayton.

Five men, aged between 18 and 26, were sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court on Thursday (October 26).

The incident, which forced shoppers to hide out, took place in Broadway Parade in May.

Police arrived to find blood on the floor but no sign of any victims or suspects, with three people later turning up at Hillingdon Hospital with stab injuries.

Man 'critical' after stabbing in Yeading Lane

A man in his 30s who was stabbed multiple times in a street in Hayes was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

Emergency services were called at 8.48pm on Wednesday (October 25) to a row of shops in Yeadling Lane.

The Metropolitan Police said there were reports of a number of suspects arriving at the scene in a vehicle, one carrying a gun.

A man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been released under investigation pending further enquiries and no further arrests have been made.

Mass evacuation after streets flooded in Wealdstone

More than 100 people were evacuated from homes and businesses after two water mains burst in Wealdstone.

Emergency services were called to Cecil Road at 10.55am on Tuesday (October 24) after roads became submerged in water.

Around 30 firefighters were sent to the scene and were seen knee-deep in water and giving piggybacks to residents, as water levels reached 1.5 metres.

Debris lined the streets after the flood subsided and road closures and diversions remained in place.

In their latest statement on Friday (October 27), Affinity Water said: "We have successfully repaired the burst water main and anticipate full restoration of your water supply.

"However, return-to-service procedures are continuing throughout the evening and we will provide a further update when one becomes available.

"We believe all customers should have a supply at this time.

"We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by this incident and would like to thank our customers for their patience."

Shooting in North Kensington

A police cordon was in place from around 8.22pm on Wednesday (October 25)

Eight men were arrested after shots were fired in North Kensington.

Police were called to reports of suspects on a moped shooting at a commercial property in Latimer Road on Wednesday (October 25).

Officers arrived to find no-one at the scene and a search was carried out with the help of a helicopter circling overhead.

A group of men were later arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and taken to police stations in London.

Serious sex assault at Tube station, BTP appeal

Police want to speak to this man in connection with a sexual assault

An investigation has been launched after a woman was sexually assaulted at a Tube station.

British Transport Police have released a CCTV image following the incident on the Piccadilly Line platform at South Ealing underground station.

The victim, aged 28, was allegedly attacked between 2.30am and 3.30am on Sunday (October 22).

BTP want to speak to anyone who recognises the man in the image as he could help the investigation.
