Police have launched two separate appeals for vulnerable men missing in west London.

Alzheimer’s sufferer Winston Hayes, 72, was last seen leaving West Middlesex Hospital in Isleworth on Saturday (October 9).

And Steven Bird, 39, has not been seen since leaving his home in Trevelyan Crescent, Harrow , at 7am on Sunday (October 8) without medication.

Mr Hayes is from Upper Holloway but was being treated at West Middlesex for a chest infection when he disappeared. He still had a cannula - a needle in the hand which allows use of a drip - and has not been seen or heard since.

It is possible he is attempting to travel to Gatwick Airport to travel to Jamaica, or in a confused state attempting to travel to Heathrow .

However, there is no indication he has left the country at this time.

Mr Bird is autistic and has Tourette’s and left his medication at home when he disappeared.

He had gone missing on October 1 but was found two days later in South Kensington . On other occasions he has gone missing he has been found in Uxbridge.

Steven has previously been found in Uxbridge , and it is possible he may have travelled to the Camden/Islington areas.

He is white, approximately 5ft 7ins tall, and of a slim build. He has a brown beard and unkempt hair. It is not known what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.
