Images have been released by police investigating an attempted robbery and common assault at Osterley Tube station.

A 21-year-old man was punched and pulled to the floor before station staff intervened, British Transport Police (BTP) said.

The victim suffered minor facial injuries during the attack, which took place on November 20.

He had just got off the train at 2.55pm when he was attacked by a group of men who had been travelling on the same train, BTP said.

He was punched in the face and pulled to the floor, before the offenders demanded his phone and threatened to stab him.

At this point a member of staff at the London Underground station intervened and was also pushed.

Police hope these people will help them with their investigation following an assault and attempted theft at Osterley Underground station

The member of staff told the offenders to leave the station and then took the victim to the booking office before the offenders eventually left the scene, according to BTP.

British Transport Police have released CCTV images of people they want to speak to following the assault and attempted theft

Officers from BTP would like to speak to the men shown in the CCTV images as they may have information which could help the investigation.
