College students enjoyed an enchanting night when attending their annual Summer Ball .
The theme for this year’s DLD College London prom was Enchanted Forest, and students were treated to a barrage of visual treats on the evening.
The Westminster-based college held the event at UnderGlobe, located below the Shakespeare’s Globe, and set would eaily have provided the backdrop to the Bard’s Midsummer Night’s Dream.
When guests entered the venue they walked down the grand sweeping staircase where they were greeted with a Prosecco and canapé reception.
They could also pose for photographs with half human, half animal “Humanimals” who provided the entertainment and added to the wild element of the Enchanted Forest theme.
There was a vintage pop-up photographic studio for everyone to enjoy throughout the evening which was beautifully dressed with a picket fence and ivy all around.
It was also equipped with fun props and had unlimited photographs for the students to take away with them.
Students enjoyed a two-course meal and cheered when Isabel Zentner, 17, and Karabo Sankoloba, 20, were named Prom Queen and King respectively, before dancing the rest of the night away to popular band Pop London.
Principal Rachel Borland said: “It was a fantastic evening which all the students thoroughly deserved. It is a time to celebrate their achievements and to relax now the hard work is over.
“The theme truly was enchanting, it was a stunning venue and everyone enjoyed celebrating the end of the academic year together.”
Last year the college moved into new premises in Westminster , combining its two campuses.
