A burst water main has left families in Chiswick without water.

People living in and around Sutton Court Road, where the problem has occurred, are experiencing low water pressure or no water at all.

A team of engineers from Thames Water were dealing with the incident, on Tuesday morning (July 14), and were called to site to carry out urgent repairs.

A spokesman for the water company said they were working to restore the water pressure as quickly as possible.

One person tweeted to say the burst water main was affecting people as far as Grove Park.

There have also been reports of severe traffic congestion - heading into town, between the M4 elevated section in Chiswick and the Sutton Court Road junction - due to the incident.
