Ten people were evacuated from Stamford Bridge stadium after a fire broke out at the home of Chelsea FC.

Three fire engines and 14 firefighters were called to the ground, in Fulham Road, Fulham , a few minutes after 9pm on Saturday (October 7).

London Fire Brigade (LFB) said a small fire had taken hold in the electrical intake room, which was slightly damaged.

The people were evacuated from the West Stand of the stadium.

No-one was injured.

LFB was called to the scene at 9.03pm and had the fire under control at 9.48pm.

Crews from Fulham, Chelsea and Kensington fire stations attended.

The cause of the fire was an electrical fault.

Earlier this season Chelsea were granted planning permission to build a new, £500 million, 60,000-seat stadium on the Stamford Bridge site.
