Chelsea Embankment closed in both directions due to flooding

Chelsea Embankment was closed on Sunday afternoon (December 10) due to flooding.

Both carriageways of the A3212 was shut at around 12.20pm due to flooding between B302 Royal Hospital Road and A3216 Chelsea Bridge Road.

According to getwestlondon's traffic reporting system, traffic north of the river heading from Albert Bridge towards Chelsea Bridge and Pimlico was affected.

Transport for London (TfL) advised motorists to use alternative routes.

Disruption on December 10

Meanwhile, traffic in White City was "heavily congested" due to weather conditions, according to TfL.

On Sunday afternoon, the Met Office issued a severe yellow weather warning for ice , expected to form in the evening through to Monday morning.
