The Thames River bridge has had its distinctive Victorian features refurbished and underwent repairs to protect it against water penetration.
The surface has also been re-laid and drainage systems upgraded.
The bridge's Victorian iron lamp columns have also been installed with modern LED lights to make them shine brighter.
There have been serious traffic jams in the area since the bridge was closed ion July 14.
The bridge opened to vehicles today at 5am.
