A Burger King employee was punched by a customer at a restaurant in Marylebone station after he jumped a queue.

The incident happened on March 9 at 9.20pm and left the victim, a 41-year-old man, with bruising around his eyes and grazes to his leg.

British Transport Police (BTP) have now released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection to the assault as part of a new appeal.

The suspect launched his attack after jumping the queue at the fast food restaurant.

He walked behind the counter and punched the victim twice in the head after he was refused a cup, the police said.

He then threw the Burger King worker on the floor and tried to stamp on him before leaving.

Investigating officer, Det Con Martin Coburn, said: “I would like to speak to the man shown in the CCTV image as he may have information which could help with the investigation.

“This was a violent attack against a member of staff who was simply doing his job and it is vital that we find the person responsible.

“Fortunately, the victim has recovered from his physically injuries, which in the end were not serious, but they could have been a lot worse as the offender was trying to stamp on the victim whilst he was on the floor.”
