A building firm has scooped a top industry prize for its work in Hammersmith .

Lucinda Sandford Ltd won a Master Builder Award for work which transformed a neglected furniture store in Shepherd's Bush Road, Brook Green , into an appealing community space.

It incorporates a deli and café, play areas and dance studios for local families to use known as The Corner House.

The firm from Rotherhithe took the prize for the best commercial project in the Federation of Master Builders’ (FMB) London region.
