A motorcyclist hurt in a road traffic accident in Knightsbridge on Thursday (March 9) has suffered broken and dislocated ankle, police have confirmed.

Kensington and Chelsea Police gave an update on the injury confirming that the injury was not life-threatening or life-chaning.

The incident happened at the junction of Egerton Crescent at around 4.30pm.

Met Police said at the time the collision involved the motorbike, which was carrying a passenger, and two parked cars.

Borough police later tweeted that the vehicle involved was a private hire vehicle.

Officers said the pillion passenger was also hurt, but said neither suffered life-changing or life-threatening injuries.

The collision closed Brompton Road between the A4 and Draycott Avenue until around 7pm, leading to traffic in the area and bus diversions.

No arrests have been made.
