The man arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault at a trading estate in Brentford has been released "under investigation", police confirmed.

Officers were called to the incident in Ealing Road in the early hours of Monday (October 30) morning.

The alleged assault took place in the Phoenix Park trading estate on the junction of South Ealing road and the A4, opposite the Esso petrol station.

The alleged victim is a woman in her 20s, police said.

A man was arrested in connection with the assault on Monday (October 30), and police said he has since been released "under investigation".

Businesses on the trading estate, including a Screwfix store, remained closed on Monday as police carried out their investigation.

On Tuesday (October 31) businesses on the estate reopened as normal.

The police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
