It’s been a whopping 125 years since 11 men of the Brentford Rowing Club first pulled on the famous red and white striped shirts and ran out onto a pitch to play a game of football.

Few can deny its been a rollercoaster of a ride since Brentford FC were formed that day in November 1889 with generations of fans living every single kick and match-winning goal alongside their heroes.

To mark the special occasion the club is holding a gala dinner next Thursday (20) night when VIPs and past players will mingle with supporters to reminisce about times good and bad and imagine what might come in the 125 years ahead.

Getwestlondon wants to help make these celebrations go with a real bang and so is asking the Bees faithful to share their favourite memories with us.

We want your favourite ever goal, who you think the greatest player of all time is, the name of the best (or worst!) manager, the best match and even what you think of the refreshments!

You can get these to us using either our twitter handle @beeschronicle or the hashtag #bees125 or by heading to our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/getwestlondon

We are also very keen for anyone with photos from the past - be it five years ago or 50 - to share them with us too.
