The moped driver hurt following a collision with a car in Brentford on Tuesday (July 18) afternoon has not suffered a serious injury, police have said.

Paramedics and an air ambulance were called to Boston Manor Road, near the junction with The Ride, at around 12.45pm following the incident.

Police sealing off surrounding roads and at first were unable to give a condition check on the injured moped driver .

However, Scotland Yard said on Tuesday evening the male had suffered a leg injury which was neither life changing or life threatening.

He had been taken by ambulance to a hospital in west London.

The incident resulted in the closure of Boston Manor Road in both directions, and Clitheroe Road and The Ride.

Buses were placed on diversion and there were reports of traffic in the area.

Police are investigating. No arrests have been made.
