Police investigating the murder of a man in Brent on Thursday, November 5 have made a second arrest and formally named the victim.

According to Met Police , 21-year-old Haile Langa from Kilburn was found stabbed in Watling Gardens on Shoot Up Hill in Brent and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination took place at Northwick Park Hospital on November 6 and gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.

Next of kin have been informed while formal identification awaits.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on Friday, November 6 on suspicion of murder.

Police reportedly made a further arrest of an 18-year-old man in the Eastcote area late on Friday on suspicion of murder who currently remains in custody at a north London police station.

Detectives from the Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed either the stabbing or the events leading up to the incident to come forward.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Partridge, of the HMCC leads the investigation. He said: "This was an extremely violent incident that resulted in the death of Haile Langa.

“The attack took place in broad daylight in an area where there would have been many people around.

“I continue to appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident to contact us to help us piece together a picture of events leading up to this murder."
