A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was shot in Brent on Friday evening (May 26).
She was pronounced dead at the scene at 9.34pm.
Her next-of-kin have been notified and formal identification has now taken place.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place on Saturday (May 27) at Northwick Park Hospital.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) are investigating.
They believe the victim was standing with a group of individuals in the Malvern Road area and was approached by a number of suspects possibly on pedal cycles.
A firearm was discharged towards the group and the victim was shot and the suspects fled the scene.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the number of suspects believed to have been involved.
