A Brent mother accused of posting statements on Facebook which encourage terrorism while using a false name has appeared in court.

Farhana Begum Ahmed, of Lansbury Close, faces an additional three charges of dissemination of terrorist publication in October 2015 under the same profile.

The 39-year-old, facing a further two charges of terrorist funding, pleaded not guilty to all six counts.

She appeared before district judge John Zani at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday afternoon (April 25).

It follows her arrest in July last year by counter-terrorism officers from Metropolitan police.

Her charges are one of encouragement of terrorism, three charges of dissemination of a terrorist publication and two charges of terrorist funding.

She will reappear at the Old Bailey on May 19.
