Police are investigating an alleged assault on a young woman by a bouncer at a Hounslow night club.

The Met said officers were called to Club K, in High Street, Hounslow, on Sunday (April 17) at 3am to reports of an assault.

It said a 22-year-old woman claimed to have been assaulted by a member of door staff at the night club.

The woman's mother says her daughter was asked to leave but then told by another member of staff she could re-enter, only to be forcibly removed this time, leaving her badly bruised.

The club's owner Onkar Raj denies the allegation but said it was not appropriate to comment further as police were investigating.

Club K is the subject of a licensing review following a serious assault last month involving suspected gang members who police said had left the club moments before that incident.

The club, at the western end of the High Street, next to TK Maxx, is due to learn its fate at a licensing panel meeting next Tuesday (April 26).

The club's closing time has been brought forward to 3am pending the hearing, and it could close for good if the licence is revoked.
