If you're planning on going out to see the fireworks this weekend, you might want to wrap up and take your waterproofs.

The Met Office has forecast rain for Saturday (November 4) and has warned the temperature is set to drop at night.

Fireworks displays being held on Friday night (November 3) could have the best of the weather, with mild temperatures and a dry evening predicted but a lot of cloud around.

There's set to be some rain on Saturday, but it is then due to be drier the following day, according to the Met Office's latest forecast.

It has also warned the temperature is set to drop in the evenings, so fireworks displays could be quite chilly.

Handily though, you should have a massive bonfire to get as close as possible to.

Bonfire Night could get chilly

Met Office meteorologist Alex Deakin said: "The weekend's going to be somewhat mixed.

"If you're after a dry day then Sunday is your better bet because on Saturday certainly there will be some rain around, slowly clearing away, followed by some showers."

So for anyone planning a late Halloween party this weekend, the forecast will be a welcome change from the stormy weather.
