Anyone heading to Wembley for the latest stop in Beyonce's Formation tour this weekend can expect all the trimmings you would expect from the woman who runs the pop world.

Beyonce lit up the stage in the north east on the first night of her Formation World Tour ahead of her two-night run at Wembley Stadium on Saturday and Sunday (July 2 and 3).

The weather might not have been as flawless as Queen Bey fans might have hoped, but the star still put a halo around Sunderland's Stadium of Light on Tuesday (June 28).

Despite a 45 minute hold up, the former Destiny's Child singer still amazed the 50,000 gathered in the stadium with her characteristic showmanship.

Spectacular performances from the woman herself and her always-impressive back-up dancers moving in formation are always a highlight at the Queen of Pop's shows.

Hits from her April-released album Lemonade make up the majority of the night but expect a visit to some of her nostalgic classics.

Costumes are always a big hit so if you're visiting the west London stadium you can expect plenty of outfit changes during the more than two hours she commands the stage.

But spoiler alert, after the Sunderland show, any 'single ladies' might be disappointed by one major song absence from the setlist.
