You’re likely to have seen him drinking faecal liquid squeezed directly from elephant dung or scooping the innards out of a dead camel and using its remains as a sleeping bag - but now Bear Grylls has been spotted in Hammersmith.
Police described the intrepid explorer as a “thoroughly nice chap” after bumping into him in Talgarth Road.
The host of shows such as Man vs. Wild and The Island with Bear Grylls stopped to chat to officers from Hammersmith and Fulham, who were taking a break at the time.
Writing on Twitter in the early hours of Friday (November 17) morning, the local police force said: “Quick hello to @BearGrylls who bumped into one of our patrols having a well-earned pit stop on the Talgarth Road.
"Stopped to chat and we can confirm he’s a thoroughly nice chap #FHTeamD.”
Earlier this week the survival expert appeared on This Morning, where he amazed hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield by starting a fire with chewing gum and a battery.
It was reported in 2015 that he had was swapping his houseboat in Battersea for a property in the nearby iconic Power Station.
