A couple engaged in a graphic sex act in front of their two young children during a day out shopping at Westfield .

Pregnant wife Akeela Ali was seen on CCTV performing oral sex on her husband Fahad Bilal while they sat at the lift lobby lounge area on the first floor of the Shepherd’s Bush shopping centre.

The couple continued despite their children, aged three and five, playing nearby and interrupting them on several occasions.

They appeared at Hammersmith Magistates’ Court , with their children in tow, earlier this month where they admitted outraging public decency.

The family had travelled from Newport, Wales, for a day of shopping on July 23.

Just after 8pm CCTV footage captured Ali moving her head up and down and masturbating Bilal with her right hand on a sofa in front of the shopping mall lifts.

Prosecutor Arlene De Silva said the incident lasted 10 minutes and that Ali blamed it on her pregnancy because “her hormones were everywhere and she felt horny”.

Asked to explain her actions by District Judge Elizabeth Roscoe, the 25-year-old defendant said: “I’m just quite ashamed of what I did, I’m not happy with what happened.

“At the time I didn’t realise what I was doing, I was pregnant. We were sitting together, we were tired and it just happened.”

Bilal, 26, said: “It was a big mistake and it was shameful.”

The unemployed couple were given an eight-week exclusion order within the M25. They must also each pay a £60 victim surcharge and a £180 court charge.

The couple, who are unemployed, had chosen to represent themselves and were sentenced separately as they took turns to look after their children outside the courtroom.

Mrs Roscoe told Ali: “You understand the seriousness of this is because you are in public, your children are there, other people’s children are there.

“Fortunately I have been told no one in particular has seen it, but you are the adult and you should know better.”

And she said to Bilal: “This was a public place with children around, your children, and you are the adult, you should know better.”
