A woman and three-month-old baby who fell from a roof in Southall are now in a stable condition after being rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

The incident happened on Sunday evening (July 16) with police being called to the scene in Western Road at around 4.23 pm.

A 24-year-old woman and infant had fallen "from height" at the back of a property in the road.

London Ambulance Service was also present and rushed the pair to a central London hospital.

The woman is now in a stable condition, and while the baby has sustained injuries, they are not believed to be life-threatening.

Metropolitan Police officers from Ealing are investigating the circumstances of the fall but are currently treating the incident as unexplained.
