An award-winning garden designer is replanting his Chelsea Flower Show creation outside the Royal Garden Hotel on Kensington High Street for guests to enjoy.

Charlie Albone’s Husqvarna Garden, which was awarded a silver-gilt medal at this year’s event, was inspired by the designer’s Australian roots, and based on Federation Square in Melbourne.

The garden is being given a new life and will remain outside the hotel until the end of summer.

The designer said: “I am delighted that Support: The Husqvarna Garden can live on at the Royal Garden Hotel. It is a great opportunity to have my garden displayed where it can be enjoyed by the general public.

"I would like to thank the Royal Garden Hotel for the opportunity to showcase my garden.”

Jonathan Lowrey, general manager of the hotel which is celebrating a landmark birthday said: “We’re big fans of the Chelsea Flower Show, and wanted to use our 50th anniversary as an opportunity to do something extra special at the hotel this year.

"It’s always a shame when the gardens are taken down, so we invited Charlie to recreate his show garden here, giving our guests and the general public the chance to appreciate his award-winning work.”
