Two teenagers have been charged in connection with an attempted robbery involving a handgun outside a school in Hounslow.

Hounslow Police said they were called to reports of an attempted robbery outside Heston Community School in Heston Road on Wednesday (June 7) at around 4.30pm.

The incident is believed to have involved a victim being threatened with a handgun when the suspects were disturbed.

Armed officers attended the scene and arrested two 17-year-olds in possession of an imitation firearm.

Both young people were charged with firearm offences and attempted robbery.

Detectives investigating are urging any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
