An annual football tournament was held in memory of an aspiring Hounslow journalist who killed during a night out .

Hundreds of people gathered for the the seven aside tournament, which is now in its sixth year, to pay tribute to Jagdip Randhawa , who at the age of 19, died after being punched by a boxer during a night out in Leeds in October 2011.

Despite the rain, 25 teams took part in the tournament on Saturday July 15, which Thursday Ballers won 4-2 in extra time against All Nations .

The event was hailed as a "huge success".

Jagdip, a former Cranford Community College pupil, who had just started the second year of his English degree at Leeds University, wanted to become a journalist.

Professional boxer Clifton Ty Mitchell, of Derby, was jailed for seven years in July 2012 after being convicted of Mr Randhawa's manslaughter.

Jagdip was described as a "gifted writer and had aspirations of being a journalist".
